The beautiful white mountains in the US East coast but currently green. The range has the highest peak in US eastern coast i.e. the Mt Washington. The road to the top of Mt Washington is quite hostile with bad grip and narrow. Top of the Mt. Washington has a weather  observatory that has recorded maximum wind speed of 231 miles/hr. The mountain top can be reached by Rail, Road or Foot but the weather there is very unpredictable.
